It is teachers day tml..and here i am now getting myself prepared to go back to my school of 5 yrs. Time passes real quick. Not sure what i will be doing in school later on but it will be good to see the teachers again. After that i will be watching a movie with Roanna. FACE..it is a horror show..do hope i don't always close my eyes when the scary part comes. Haha. Anyway just wanted to write something in here. Now my mind is blank so write again soon. God Bless!

Shalini flew off this morning. It is sooo sad that time passes real fast. Well 3 more months and she will be coming back again. Our recess gang went to her hse yesterday for dinner and a movie. It was a small gathering but fun. Bought a cake for her to celebrate her 1 mth belated birthday. Watched 13 going on 30 DVD(it is legal..shalini bought it in the US)..nice show. But i still think A Cinderella story is the nicest. Hahaha. Hmm..nxt whole week i will be having a holiday but it aint a relaxing one. I have to study for Psychology, my other subjects and most importantly...MATHS! Goodness..i haven't touched my maths yet. I am sooo dead. i think i will bring my maths book to school and do it during break time. Sighz. I Guess sacrifices have to be made. Ok..i think i better go for my brunch now before i faint so God Bless!!

Today is my last day at Ward 8D TTSH. Feel kinda sad leaving cause the patients are just sooo cute and nice! Kinda hard saying Bye to them. But all good things come to an end. It is back to school in another week's time. Yipee. Finally i can see my friends again. Missing them already. :P Oh..yesterday was indeed fun. Enjoyed every moment of it. Seeing Lilin, Carynn, Dine, Pei, Liza, Vivi and Shalini was like back in PL days. Dine and Carynn as usual...being very enthusiatic taking photos. Hehe. Ok..i am going out soon so God Bless!!

I am soo tired today. Perspired alot too. Haha. Maybe because bathing patient is such a strenous exercise. Haha. Oh..i also joined this Singapore Cinderella contest where the grand prize winner will win a pair of pink converse shoes, water globe, movie tickets and a make up hamper worth $550. But of course there are like a thousand gals out there wanting to go for free makeover. I am Crazy right? Haha. Ok..God Bless!

Decided to change the background. A cinderella story is the nicest show ever! Must catch it. Well i am so glad that tml is a weekend..Yeah!! Finally i can rest. Actually working for 5 days in the ward make me realise that although nursing is a tough job, it gives me job satisfaction. Love being a NURSE! Ok. See you! God Bless!!

Since i am online now i shall update. Today is my fourth day working and everything is going quite well except when my lecturer laughed at me for not knowing how to fold blankets and make the bed. *The beds are sooo diff compared to those at my house* Well i treat it as part of my learning process. Also, I have to say the staff nurses esp those singaporean ones (by the way there are 3 diff nurses there. The singaporeans, china and flipino)at the ward don't really communicate with us(student nurses)..they also don't really teach us alot of stuff but ask us to do things. It is always the year 2 ite nursing students that teach us. They are soo much nicer than the staff nurses. Really. When the staff nurses are like busy doing their own things and when we 'disturb' them, they will like "LATER! WAIT!" or even show us face. When patients' call the call bell it takes them a long long time to go up to the patient. Something like that. The cleaner at the ward also have some attitude problem. What's up with that? Today one of my friend saw Streats on the table and flip through it..then this cleaner comes in and 'snatches' the newspaper away told my friend, " Why are u reading my newspaper?" and shows a black face before stuffing the newspaper in her bag. My other friends and I are like 'WHAT IS HER PROBLEM? The newspaper is free!!" Goodness. Now i know what working life is all about. It is meeting people that are either good or bad. I am praying that i will not not 100% not be like them('bad') Hope u all know what i mean. Okay enough of that. I think i better start finishing my case study and try to work on my maths. 2 more months to go!!!!So God Bless!!

Today was my first day at the ward. It was okay cause of the orientation. i am in charge of the male ward..the patients there don't really talk much cause they are quite sick. Tml could be a busy day. Oh..saw a bone marrow aspiration..really took my hat off the patient..cause she could endure the pain. Imagine a huge needle going into ur bone. That is how pain it is. Well i don't think i will updating until the end of my attachment. So God bless!!

13 Aug: Met up with Shalini, Liza, Vivi, Rachel, Yang at Bugis. Had a good time talking and really catching up with the old days. Thanks Sha for the magazines!! All of us meet again soon ok.
Went to Tan Tock Seng today for orientation. Visited the mortuary there..saw 10 huge fridge for putting bodies. There are 2 fridge for obese people. Interesting. Then there is one fridge that put cut up body parts. Quite gross though.Saw the ward i will be in...quite a no. of elderly people. Hopefully i will be able to enjoy my time in the ward. Well after the orientation i went to Suntec to see the Spook show by FCBC. The show was okay. Saw alot of youths being saved. That is a good thing. Anyway i am so tired now so i think i will sign off. God Bless!!

Saw alot of things today. Saw Leg ulcers to open wounds either from accident or due to diabetes. Also saw the doctor performing a minor surgery. He was 'cutting' the skin to remove pus from this patient. Blood kept on flowing. Glad that i didn't faint. Haha. Ok...here comes the next thing i saw during lunch. 2 of my friends and i were in MACDONALDS for lunch and my friend saw this sch boy stealing this guy's purse. The school boy then went to toilet. This guy is quite u know..not really right in the mind so he did not notice anything. Anyway when the guy finished eating he could not find his wallet. U all should have seen his face. Such a lost look. Really felt sooo sorry for him. My friend told the 2 of us about it and we told a staff about it. The staff then went to chase the school boy and brought him back to Mac. The school boy kept on saying he did not take it and opened up his bag to show the manager. My friend then told the staff that the boy went into the toilet. The staff went to the toilet and guess what he came out with. The guy's purse. The staff said he found the purse in the dustbin. I guess u all shld know what happen in the toilet after the boy took the purse. The guy only had 60 cents inside so there is nothing the boy can take away. The manager then let the boy off cause it is not really a police case. The scary part is When The boy was being questioned. He stared at the 3 of us like he is going to bite us or something. The worst thing is that we are in our nursing uniform. Who knows what boys like him will do....my friend was really quite frightened. Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I have to agree with Carynn. Polyclinic life is relaxing in a way and boring. Yesterday i was observing diabetic, hypertension counseling and i was going to fall alseep. Really. The morning hours from 8-1pm is long but when 2-4 comes..time passes quite fast. Well 1 more day left. Today should be interesting cause it is the dressing of the wound. Hope i don't faint. Anyway yesterday when i went to City Hall Mrt with my friend, there was this Japanese couple or sibling?? They asked us how to go to Merlion Park. At first i thought they were saying Memorial Park but the lady pointed to Merlion. Cause we are early we brought them to the Park. They were like so happy. Kept saying Thank You and the lady did what Japanese people would do when they say hi and thank you. So Kawaii. Haha. No wonder Rachel lovessss Japan and Japanese soooo much. Haha. Then i met my grp members cause we had this project to do. It was fun seeing them again and we kept teasing the only guy in our grp. Went to Mcdonalds and did our project. Sat there for 2 hrs. Then we left for Esplanade. I love the night scenery. It is sooo beautiful. We also saw couples here and there. What a romantic place to be. Haha. Ok. I better go now. God bless!!

First...WELCOME BACK SHALINI!! Haha. I will be going to 'work' soon so i will make this fast.
9th Aug: Queued outside Pacific Plaza at 8am. There was already a long long queue. Anyway michelle and i sat and stood there for 4 hours. The bouncers let us in at 12pm. ChinaBlack is not very big and we had to stand so all of us were squashed. I was standing at the left side of the stage and people at the back started to push so as to get a better view. The VIP area is the best. They are sooooooooooooo near the stage, I didn't see anyone push. When 5566 came out....everything went 'chaotic'. The girl beside me was super irritating cause she kept on pushing me to the side using her elbow and showed me a dirty look when i look at her. Anyway 5566 were soooooo handsome!! Could really see them clearly..except when the heads were blocking my view. I took some pictures..hopefully it will turn out nice..The whole performance ended in 45 mins and michelle and i went for lunch then it was rushing to the National Stadium. Met my sis at Kallang and it was a sea of red. We walked to National Stadium and met Roanna and her sisters there. The parade was okay and the fireworks were the BEST! It was sooo nice to look at. Yepx. When the whole thing ended..everyone rushed out of the stadium and the roads were blocked with people. Almost couldn't breathe. So glad my sis and i finally got out.

10th Aug:
1st day at Geylang Polyclinic. It was okay. The nurses are nice and they really taught me quite alot of things. Did temperature taking for this small cute girl. Well besides that..i was bored!! There is nothing much i can do except to observe and when there are no patients..i talk to my other nursing friends. Carynn..how was it over at ur side?

Went to the airport this morning to see 5566. Was quite surprised that at 11.30 there aint many fans around but they soon start coming in after that. At 12.10 5566 came out..and i was sooooo excited!! So were the other fans there. Haha. Renfu was sooo cute he kept waving. Xiezhi was cute and handsome as usual.hehe.Jason and Sam were also cute. The place where i was standing..i was only 4 steps away from them. Could really see them upclose but too bad they walk off so fast that i can't really take their pic. Only managed to take Jason though and the back of Xiezhi. Well it was such a good 'experience' though. Haha. Can't wait to see them on Mon!! *Screams* After that i went to Bukit Batok where my mom, sis and i were supposedly going to the old folk's hme but in the end we didn't. Don't ask me why. :P Bought a pair of shoes for my attachment then went to Bishan and bought 2 pieces of clothing from Baleno. Went out the whole day today so now... i shall end here. God Bless!!

I shall blog before i go to bed. Well went to Orchard with Michelle after school and bought this 5566 water bottle. Ice Cream Soda flavoured drink. The price was expensive(below $10) but i guess they imported it over so it isn't so bad. Yepx. My mom also got 2 tickets to NDP 2004 so my sis and i are going. Where is the yellow sector anyway? Haha. Oh ya. Received my results for my theory test and u know what i got? C. Gosh i am sooo upset with myself. Sighz. Really got to study study and study!! Ok. guess i better sleep soon. I got posted to Geylang Polyclinic for my 1st week for attachment. It is like soo far!! Wished i went to Hougang. Anyway for the next 3 wks i will be like a 'zombie' cause for the nxt 2 wks cause i have to report to TTSH at 7am. Goodness. I guess that is 'work' ..Carynn tell me which polyclinic u go to ok. Hmm Gwen is my tester. Not sure whether u know her. She lectures for 1026. Anyway i am sooo tired nowadays...can't study!! Arrghh. Well i am going to eat my dinner now..God Bless!!

I am soooo bored. I have like break until 5pm. Gosh. This morning was my clinical test...i was sooo scared..my classmates commented that i look like i was going to cry. Haha. Well did temperature taking, pulse, respiration and the hardest..blood pressure. Thank God everything went quite smoothly and I passed!! I felt like a rock has just been lifted off my body. Yepx. ok..i am going back to reality. Haha.

Decided to blog before i go to school. On Fri..only 7 ppl from our class went for the Thanksgiving. It was 'fun' seeing the teachers, Mrs Lee and the school again after so long. Like sheryldine wrote in her blog saying that the seniors told us how they miss PL after they left and we didn't really believe them until now. Well the food was somehow not what i thought they will give but i guess cause there aren't many ppl who turned up. Anyway the service was okay and after that all of us went to mcdonalds for supper with Ms Koh. Coming back..i went to Esplanade yesterday and saw a wonderful splendid display of fireworks. It was soooooo good but it lasted not more than 10 mins. Ok. I think i better go now. Carynn i will email u soon ok. Maybe tonight. God Bless!
