Just came back from dinner with Roanna at Bishan. Had dinner at Cafe Cartel..i had the hawaiin pork chop..was so full after that. Roanna passed me my bdae present which is shared btw the gals(Sonia, Geraldine, Liney, Yang and Roanna). Guess wat they bought...a swimsuit!! Hahaha..thanks..i needed it. But i have to say that i am a little shy to wear it out. Will take a pic of it soon. :P
I shall go watch the latest epi of Greys now so God Bless!!

Happy Birthday to me!! I am 20 yrs already! So hard to believe..well i dont feel like i am 20 yrs..seriously. Haha. Shall now start my long entry abt my trip to penang. :P

Day 1

Went to Changi Airport at about 8 plus for breakfast then it was check in time. As it was early, we went in to the transit mall...walked around and met up with my cousins afterwards.

Then..it was boarding time..woohoo..stepping into the plane was really cool. The plane was a 737..it was really small and narrow with only 1 aisle. But i am glad anyways. Got a window seat. The plane took off and i felt like i was on top of the world..everything just became so microscopic. The scenery was soo nice. Suddenly, i remembered about geography. Haha. Food was served and i hurriedly gobble it down cause we were going to land. The whole duration was about 1 hr 15 mins.

We reached Penang! There was a van that brought us to Sunway hotel and along the way i see alot of old buildings plus new buildings..Penang has indeed changed alot.

Got to the hotel to put down our things and it was off to makan penang's food. The place was very traditional. It was all roadside stalls but their food is good. Ate till we were soo full. Visited a mall called Gurney Plaza later on with my cousins, uncles and dad, didnt have time for shopping..just walked around the place. The mall was pretty huge and oh we had A&W. I love their root beer float and waffles. Yum yum. Went back to the hotel to rest and it was off to dinner with some of my other relatives. Again, we had penang food. Really goood. So that was pretty much Day 1 .

Day 2
Woke up early for breakfast at the cafe in the hotel..went back to the room to rest somemore and some of us went to another mall just to explore. Haha. Afterwards, it was off for lunch at my great grandma's place. It was nostaglia reaching the house again..it has been ages since i last went there and it still looks the same. I saw photos of my grandma's parents and their parents. 3 generations. It was really nice. Met my great grandma, some of my relatives and distant cousins.

After lunch, we went back to the hotel to wash up and prepare for dinner which is celebrating my great grandma bdae. Dinner was buffet style with like mini stalls set up serving noodles, ice kachang, fried food. It was really cool. All of us sang birthday song to my great grandma and the cake was cut. She is 93 yrs.

After we went back to the hotel, at 12 midnight,my cousins came into the room and sang bdae song to me..haha..i was already abt to sleep at that time. Goodbye 19 yrs old..Hello 20 yrs old. Lolz.

Day 3(Today)
Woke up early again for breakfast and the breakfast buffet was nicer today. Haha. Went over to this house which is my aunt's cousin place where he makes kueh. His kuehs are really yummy. Stayed there for a while and we walked back to the hotel. Packed our bags and it was off to the airport cause our flight was at 1.15pm. Had lunch at Nandos and again, my family sang me a birthday song there with some cakes they bought. Haha. We boarded the plane soon after. Again..i was given the window seat. Hahahz.The plane took off at 1.05pm. Had food again on board and i finished everything. The view was really nice..the clouds, the sea, the land. Reached singapore at 2.30 pm.

Home sweet home.I'm going to miss sitting on the plane though..After collecting our bags, we took a cab back and I went over to my aunt's place where i took a nap and later, had dinner with my family at Hong Kong Street Family Restaurant. I just love the cereal prawn!! It was a full and sastifying dinner.

Had A new haircut this afternoon with my sis and mom..i kinda like it. Plus i think i am going to get the straightener hair iron. Haha. Shall go to sleep soon..tml got to wake up early. Shall update when i come back on the 27th. God Bless!!

Results are out today and i totally didnt expect it. I was woken up by the sms sound and it was 3.51am. I looked at it and realized that it was my results. Gosh. What a surprise. So..i got 2 B plus, 2 B and 2 C. I really thank God for my results cause during the exam i made quite a few mistakes. Yepx. Anyhow, today my mom took leave so we will be going out then coming back home to pack my bag..havent finish packing yet. Haha.

Firstly, i have two things i wanna say. I am seriously in need of a haircut. Yes. Got an appt on friday...i look at myself in the pictures and gosh i do not like my hairstyle now. Haha. The nxt thing is that i really dislike Spore weather!! I dont like the humidity. But haiz i am living in Singapore so what else can i say?? I hate it when i got alot of sweat glands and my makeup kinda runs under the hot hot sun. Arrgh. Pardon me for my rants. Lolz. Okies..today..i met up with Charmaine at Somerset and we went over to cathay. Walked around for a while and guess what..i saw Amanda and Yung Hwui who were concidentally there shopping. Haha. It was a planned surprise some sort. So..we decided to watch a movie. Casino Royale was the show and i have to say that the show was really good. It got my adrenaline pumping.

After the show, we went to Sakae Sushi and again i was caught by suprise when Jianhao and Gen turns up. Haha. So they celebrated my bdae there. :> Thanks u guys for the strawberry cake and the presents.

Went to Jihan's hse with Charmaine, Amanda, Yung Hwui, Jianhao, Yuening, Gen(she came later after wrk) and myself. Ate alot of hand made cookies Jihan and her mom had made. It was really yummy. Had fun just talking and playing scrabble. Haha. Then for dinner, i went to Grapevine with Amanda..had baked rice and shared a brownie with amanda. I just love the brownie!! But it was abit over toasted..hehe. Tml i will be going out with Charmaine..hopefully i can get to do some shopping. I want to buy more tops and shoes! Anyways i shall see how tml. Oh yeah..i am now currently going crazy over Grey's anatomy. I'm dwling season 3 episode clips. It is the entire show but some parts of it are not in there. But well at least i get to see the episode. Shall go watch episode 6-8(just currently aired in US)now. God Bless!

Just got back from a shopping cum day out with my lil sis. We went to Far east and walk around looking for my sis's prom dress. She didnt see much nice dresses (that suit her) around and i didnt see any clothes that i really wanted to buy except that i keep seeing this top from the shop called THE BOX where i bought the top and it was ruined just one day after washing. The left side of the top became expanded that it is just simply hard to wear. So..i was contemplating on whether i shld get it or not. As for shoes, i did see some but the heels are just so high. Haiz. I love high heels no doubt but i wont go for heels that are way beyond 4 inch. Haha. Walked to borders, read abit of the magazines then we went to Isetan Shaw Centre and Isetan Wisma. Again, I saw that very same top from the same shop over there. Haha..I was like telling my sis..should i get it? It is like a sign or something for me to get it again. My sis then saw this white v neck dress that she liked and decides to get it this friday with my mom. It costs $79.90. Woah. Went over to Heeren where we took neoprints and on our way to take NEL at dobhy, we went to PS and again..i saw the shop. Hahahaa. I went in and then decided to get a top there. It wasnt the same top i got before though. Had dinner at this cafe located just opp my aunt's house. That pretty much sums up today activity.

I didnt do much stuff today..just headed to SGH with my aunt for her physiotheraphy and its back home(my aunt's place) again. Haha. Anyways i realize..i got 2 more weeks left to like enjoy!! Arrgh. Holidays have never been long for me. Sighz. Oh u guys gotta watch the video which is called the Laughing Baby. The baby's laughter can really make u laugh. I watched it like 4 times. I remember from somewhere ppl say that hearing a baby laughter is equivalent to eating 20 bars of chocolate. U know that kind of satisfaction/pleasure you'll get. Haha. Nxt Sat i will be off to Penang..for my great grandma's bdae. Sadly my grandma isnt around anymore. Yepx. I will be going for 3 days..coming back on the 27th in the afternoon. Hehe..

We will be on Malaysian airlines..woohoo. Cant wait to get on the plane.

So..these 2 days i have just been sleeping and sleeping. Seriously. I never slept so much before. I guess it was the medicine i ate that made me tired. Oh ya..i went to vivocity already and yepx as what everybody says that place is huge. Lots of shops and it can be pretty confusing..all the turns here and there. Haha. Gap was the 1st place i went into and hmm..the clothes there are expensive. Had ben and jerrys and it was really good..Yums. The scenery was also really nice..overlookin sentosa. Haha. Everybody got to visit Vivo at least once. :P

What I have been feeling for the past few months..

I've Just read my cousin's blog and tears rolled down my eyes esp when she talked abt my grandma. Yepx..It has been almost 7 mths that she is not with us. I still miss her alot alot esp hearing her telling me things which almost seems like nagging, her wonderful cooking that is always cooked sufficiently, just looking at her cute face, her laughter, the shuffling of her shoes. Recently i watched this video where she appeared on this channel u tv show abt health and she was on it as one of the many elderly folks who do exercise at the park. The camera showed her doing the exercise, her face, her movements and just watching it, i cried. I cry alot just thinking about her..at home, at the hospital where i helped her to the toilet..and the words she said to me before i went back to work after my break on that very day she collapsed.
It was the day she collapsed, the day she was discharged from the hosp . I still rmb vividly that a few hours after i came back from my grandma there, i felt my hp vibrating and i went into the toilet, picked up the phone and it was my aunt..she told me my grandma vomited and became drowsy after taking milo. I was really shocked cause my grandma collapsed just when she was to go back home. I held back my tears and waited in agony for time to pass so i can run to the ward across mine(where i worked) to see her. When i went there, she was being surronded by nurses and doctors trying to resuscitate her. I havent learned all those resuscitation stuff yet in school but i knew that it was something was serious. She was already unconsicous at that time i saw her and i kept crying. My aunt, uncle, cousin were crying too. We were just in disbelief. They brought her to ICU and the scan showed bleeding in the brain(Haemorrhagic stroke). The doctors suggested surgery but the surgeon said it was too risky. After going back home to change, i went back to the ICU and she was already lying on the bed with mechanical ventilator which shows that her respiratory function was not functioning normally thus the machine have to help in her breathing. Looking at her, i just cant imagine that things can just change so fast. I was telling her earlier in the noon, ah ma u can go home already and she was nodding her head in approval and now..she is in ICU with all the tubes . Instead of going back to the earthly home at Serangoon, she went to her heavenly home with God. I do believe that at the time she collapsed she probably is already with God..just that her spirit havent fully left the body till 3 days later on Wed. Thinking back, i really thank God for letting her stay for 3 days on earth for all of us to talk whatever we wanted to say, sing to her and also her waiting for me to finish my 9pm shift on that wed. She left at 9.40pm 17th may 2006. A day that will always stick in my head.
At times, i just ask God why dont you take me away too so i can be in heaven with you and also to see my grandma, grandpa, granduncle so i wont cry so much. I dont have sucidal ideations but i guess sometimes missing my grandma overwhelms me. I know that she is with God in his heavenly kingdom but she was in my life for 19 plus yrs and i still cant accept the fact that she is not here anymore. Looking at her picture on the wall is just so surreal. My birthday is coming soon and the thought of her not being here to celebrate with me..cooking my fav food just pains me. My whole family will be going to Penang on the 25th - 27th and my grandma wont be there.
I realized that 2006 has been a year where unexpected things happen and that i have cried alot too. I believe that everything happens for a reason and God has a plan. He knows best.
After saying all that and crying takes up energy, I am now tired and shall go to bed.God Bless.

Today my aunt's new bed and furniture came and everything was in a mess. I guess thats the trouble when old things go, new things come. Haha. Now the bed and furniture looks nice. After 11 yrs..this is a change. I just slept on it and it feels pretty good. Haha. Anyways i will be going home to sleep sooon. Oh ya..the new school PLMGSS looks really state of the art. Shall take a pic of it sometime. I shall visit it when it is ready. It is really different looking for the old school design. Gosh..y am i not in sec school?? Lolz. Tml i will be finally going to Vivocity and checking it out..hopefully there are things there that i will want to buy. Retail therapy!!
Oh yeah..i watched John Tucker must die and i have to say that it is really nice movie. Jesse Metcalfe is sooo cute!! The part esp when he wore a red underwear was really funny and the thing is..he started a trend with the other guys wearing the same thing . Haha..i laughed alot at that part.

Watched DOA too and found it hmmm okay..i rather play the game. So much more fun.

Saturday 4 Nov

Went to JB with my family, Roanna and Geraldine. After we crossed the causeway, we went for lunch and when we were about to leave, my dad's car suddenly just would not start. It was only after 10 minutes, he asked a man from the car workshop to take a look then it started. Really got to praise the Lord. We went to Jusco and shopped there for 2 hours..i bought 2 earrings, foundation(The gel foundation only costs like RM19.90 which is Singapore $8.50), Fasio eyeliner. Roanna and Geraldine too bought some stuff. We all went to City Square later on to walk around some more. Ro bought a bag which i think is nice and Geraldine bought a top that is rather unique. Haha. I bought another earring and a necklace. Lolz. Had dinner at Pizza Hut..i was so full after the meal. The whole meal cost RM70 for the 6 of us. Not bad eh. In total...for lunch and dinner, it was about $10 for one person. Before going back, Ro and geraldine bought cakes from Secret Recipe. Yums. It was really fun that we got to go into JB together. Though we were Tired after the trip(10 plus in the morning till 8.30pm), it was truly an enjoyable day.

Today 5 Nov

Went to Church for the 3 service and guess wat? Bob fitts was the worship leader.

His songs are really nice! The 1st song we sang was Blessed Assurance and it reminded me of my Grandma who was in the ICU and we sang her that song. Really brought back memories. But well, my grandma is now in heaven with God...it is an assurance to us. Anyways, Pastor Prince got back from ministering in London and his sermon today was about the prodigal son and how much God loves us that he sent Jesus to us. How amazing right?

I shall go off now and start watching the vcds i bought today from Carrefour. Haha. God Bless!!

Visited Yiwei in the hospital today with Amanda, Charmaine, Gen, Jianhao, Christina, Huijuan. She is feeling abit better..just the pain at her throat and low platelets. I really pray for fast recovery for her. Had lunch with the rest at Eastpoint and went to Tampines for awhile then took a bus ride back to school with Huijuan to return my overdue library book. I have to say that i kinda miss going sch..haha. That is meeting my classmates, going for lectures and tut. Minus the ica presentations and exams. Haha.
Didnt go for boxercise today cause roanna and i felt quite tired to do those stretching, jumping, boxing exercise. Hehe. So we met and went for dinner. Had my fav steamed dumpling and chee cheong fun at this mee sek food centre near heartland there. It is good. And as always when i am there, Punggol Nasi lemak has a super duper long queue. Roanna was telling me...do those ppl g0 there to eat because it is famous or the food is good. Then maybe to test it out, they shldnt put the punggol nasi lemak signage up and see whether there is indeed a long queue which determines that the food is really good. Haha. Went over to heartland mall and i bought 2 cds.

Had dessert at xin wang and we went back home to catch the last episode of the channel 8 9pm show. Haha..Happy ending. As usual. :P
