Today was kinda the last time all the new graduates gather in the auditorium for talks. Sad eh.Will miss the meeting up with Hazel, Kevin, Aixing, Charmaine, Zarina, Zhang Bei..as they are working in the ward...dozing off during the talks..having tea break which consists of Khong Guan Biscuits and packet drinks. Lolz.

Its Pay Day today! My 1st official SN paycheck. I have to say the amount isnt alot but Thank God anyways. CPF took like 15-20% away?? Like kevin said..think long term when i am much older i will be able to get it back. Lolz.

After the talk at 5, I joined my ED pals to Kbox Cine. We took the buffet combo which includes singing.. $28 plus. Buffet was pretty much like Sakura but not so much variety though. It was nice anyways..esp the cream puffs. I rave abt them and so do the rest! Haha. So we sang from like 5 plus to 9 plus? Haha. They really can sing but for me..i have the softest voice. Lolz. It was fun.

I have monday blues today..felt so lost at work that at that time i just felt like crying. But slowly i picked up the pace. The other nurses did help me along the way. So glad for them. Handled pretty difficult patients too. Part and parcel of working in the service line huh.
Anyways i met up with Sonia babe at Serangoon Garden for lunch before work. Had the nicest duck rice at the Serangoon Garden market.
We had girl talk. Lolz...it has been such a long time since i last saw her. Haha.
Shall meet her..roanna and the rest soon. Miss them lots!
Amanda has started work today. Jia you amanda..u can do it though u are not in TTSH. If after a few years u dun like SGH..come TTSH ok. Haha.
Carynn too has started work today....have fun at work okies?

Its the 20-07 2007 today..nice number huh. Haha..It was Shalini's 21st and Today was also my day off. Carynn and I met up and gave Shalini a big surprise at her house. She was really surprised to see us with a cake. Haha. So cute. Had lunch there..cut her bdae cake and jus pretty much hang out till carynn had to go off.

Gotta Work tml and sun..gosh..i realise i will be working continuously for 8 days with only one day off nxt friday. Haiyo. Working life..
After carynn left..shalini's sis came back with another cake so i had another slice of cake. Lolz.

Shalini and I then headed to vivocity and we pretty much walked around and i desperately need to go on a shopping spree once payday arrives. We then took lots of pics too.. Shalini's cam has more pics. Shall post the nice ones when i have it.

Sorry for the lack of updates..
Work so far has been okay..attended workshops and back at ED..I learned alot from my senior collegues as i tag along with them. Still trying to handle the work load but so far so good. Was taught how to handle trauma/collapse cases in the resus room brought in by the ambulance..i am really blessed to be able to go into there and see how those pts are being handled. Did my very first CPR but didnt have enough strength. Gotta build up my strength thus badminton/gym sessions with Kevin, Hazel, Charmaine is important. Haha. Some other stuff i learned is how to call for people using the intercom..assisting the doctors to call in pts, do backslab(cast for those pt with injured feet/leg/hand) etc. My ED friends have been really fun to be with..always teasing me. Shant say what though. :P Btw 2 wks have passed and I havent got my access card and my EDweb password..super inconvienent to get around. I pray they give it to me sooon!
Oh ya..my latex allergy is back..but now it is already so much better..Thank God! Kinda freaky to see my hand getting affected.

Had Lunch at Marina Square's Jacks' Place with my family..sadly the steak i had was tasteless..prob cause i have temp lost my sense of taste and smell. Haiz. Headed over to church and my aunt bought this book by Pastor Prince called Destined to Reign..now it is in my hands and i shall finish reading it before passing it back to her. Haha.
After church we went over to Chinese Swimming club for dinner with my cousins..it was kinda like a graduation celebration dinner for me..in a way.
They wrote me a card..so sweet!
Food looked good but again..i couldnt really taste it esp the fried rice i had and the apple crumble. It really seems like it has no taste to it. Arrgh.
Played Bowling for abt 1 hr. It was pretty fun. Played 2 games. Haha. Now..my right arm is pretty tired after all that throwing. Lolz.

I know i am one day late but HAPPY 21ST VIVI !! Will make it up to u soon okies?
So now..i am still coughing away..my voice is kinda flactuating. My tummy now hurts cause i think i have strained too much of my abdominal muscles after all that coughing. I got to be better soon!! The benadryl has helped me abit by clearing my phlegm but is making feel abit drowsy at times..like now. I hope later in church i will stay awake.
Anyways i finally have a new digital camera! Sis and I are sharing it. So happy. Say bye bye to the lousy lagging Olympus camera and say hello to the new Samsung Camera.

My voice is almost gone which isnt good. Haiz. I pray it will be alright really soon.
Anyways My ED friends are a really fun loving bunch of people and they already startin to tease me. Haha. I jus see it as a way of having fun.
Btw u guys...its my personal preference abt the Harry Potter movie..u can still go and catch it cause the effects are really not bad. Cant wait for the nxt movie to come out though. Haha.
Kayes..i gtg now..shall sleep early today for a change cause i feel pretty sick. A feeling which i hate.

Worked from 7 to 2.30pm..learned quite alot from the other nurses there. Had this fire drill evacuation thing after work and apparently ED staff are very on for it cause we had the largest attendance. Haha. They served refreshments later which was pretty cool. Food after a fire drill. Lolz.
Met up with Kevin, Charmaine and Hazel at the ttsh food court then we left to Orchard together..collected our tickets and we had dinner at food republic. Love the hokkien mee but i think vivocity one tastes slightly better. Haha.
So we caught Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix. My verdict? Spoilers alert..Not as nice as i thought it will be. I was pretty much looking forward to the first kiss scene but it happened pretty fast and they were making out already. Lolz. Plus after that scene cho chang appeared like a few scenes and she 'disappeared' never returning. What an exit. The ending was not really ending so i guess there will be a next movie. The movie lasted ard 2 hrs and my butt was seriously aching..prob due to the strain i got from playing badminton yesterday.

Worked for a while at my designated area and boy..i have lots to learn and remember! Nxt wk on i have shift work!! Gotta work on Sat and Sun ok but of course i am not a robot i get one day off on Fri. I believe that God will bring me through this phrase.
Anyways played badminton today with Charmaine, Kevin and Hazel. The three of them were soo good at serving the shuttlecock while i was seriously just hitting air. Haha. They were my personal trainers and yes i did improve abit. Now my arm muscles are aching and so are my leg muscles. I think i really work out more playing badminton then being in the gym.
Tml i will be wrking shift morning..got to wake up super early. Ahhh.
Also..tml i will be catching Harry Potter with Charmaine, Kevin and Hazel..woopies. Booked the tickets already and we are definelty not backing out. :P I do hope the movie is good too and ooo i so wanna see Harry Potter's first kiss. Haha.

Roro turned 21 yesterday. Haha. Met up with her and Pearline for dinner at New York New York..not too bad i have to say cause we all ate till we were so full. Haha. GST and Service charge is a killer though. Had yummy ice cream at Andersens. It was the third ice cream in a row i had for 3 days. Haha. Gotta stop this sugar craving of mine. 
Anyways i was back at ED today..feel kinda lost and i am not used to being a staff nurse. I guess i gotta take time to get used to the transition phrase. Was being introduced to ED nurses and again i dunno why my face turned red. AHHHH. Prob i wasnt exactly prepared to stand up in front of everyone. Haha.
Wells i guess i am just born with it. Born with a natural flush..blood jus like to rush to my face. Haha.
Signed up for 1 year TTSH Gym membership too..worked out at the gym today that my legs now are aching. Gosh. Tml..badminton session with them..haha.

1 week of wrk is over. Got to know my ED friends abit more too. Really outgoing and fun people to be with actually and I gotta come out of my shell already. :P Got much more to learn though from the sisters..
BCLS assessment soon..gosh..gotta do 5 cycles of 30 compressions..super tiring ok. I have never done 30 compressions before. Gotta train up my stamina. Visited the TTSH Gym today with Charmaine, Kevin and Ivan. We did abit of workout except for charmaine.. Haha. I tried weights and gosh 2 kg is more than enough for me..and for Kevin and Ivan..10 kg is okay for them. Guys...thats the difference btw us girls and them. More muscles..less fat acc to what Charmaine told me.
Anyhows..today is a nice number day..lots of couples getting married. 7 is a number of Grace so ya..070707 is a nice day. Haha. Met up with Roanna today and we went to AMK hub to catch My Wife is a gangster 3 and it was a nice show!! Really funny. Oh and we were discussing..the dates we wanna get married but highly chance it wont happen cause it seems to fast lah plus the fact we both are not attached at all. Haha..the dates are 20th Nov 2011, 20th Dec 2012. Lolz. The 2 latest yrs. Haha.
We are just being imaginative u c. Lolz.

Pretty sad cause i have already passed thru 3 years of training and graduated from NYP and also cause my classmates we are going like separate ways. The guys are going NS..and almost everyone of us are going different hosp/dept to work.
